The meetings of Central Banks of Japan, Great Britain and Australia, FOMC Meeting Minute and the USA Trading Balance release will become the main events of the upcoming week. Now let us discuss all this in detail.
For Monday, traditionally, no important economic statistics release is planned. First of all, Manufacturers Price Index and Retail Sales Volume in the Euro-Zone, which are to be issued at 9::00 GMT, are of some interest. Afternoons, investors` attention will be directed to Canadian data, namely Building Permits at 12:30 GMT and Ivey PMI to be released at 14:00 GMT.
On Tuesday, the key events will be BOJ and BOA rate decision announcements at 4:30 GMT. As you remember, the base rate in Japan is at 0.1%, in Australia it is at 3.25%. During the European session, the British Manufacturing Production Index is to be released at 8:30. The economic statistic release will be crowned with the Japanese Current Account Total to be issued at 23:50 GMT.
On Wednesday, during the Asian session, Home Loans is to be released at 1:30 GMT. Then market participants will focus on German Manufacturing Orders to be issued at β 10:00 GMT. After that the focus will shift on the American session, regarding which, first of all, it is required to study FOMC Meeting Minute dated on March 17-18, the Minute will “see the light” at 18:00 GMT.
On Thursday, the most essential events will be BOE rate decision announcement at 11:00 GMT and the USA Trading Balance for February at 12:30 GMT. As you know, currently the base rate is at its historical minimum of 0.50% in England, and we will hardly see its change after the oncoming Meeting. As for the American Trading Balance, or rather its deficit, it is on the level of 36 billion USD, and the deficit is expected to be increased up to 36.7 billion USD. In addition, it is worth paying your attention to the traditional weekly index of Jobless Claims in the USA to be released at 12:30 GMT and the External Trading Balance in Great Britain at 8:30 GMT.
On Friday, owing to Easter holidays, no important data release is planned. Most of financial markets will be closed. At 18:00 GMT Monthly Budget Statement will be released, which can arouse a short-term “surge” in price graphs, taking the conditions of “thin market”.
Have a nice day! Alex Sabodin.
